Umar
I was just paying with the Brush Pen in Kyle Webster's Megapack, and it started looking like a woman of a certain age, then it morphed into Umar the Unspeakable (at least my own version) from the Dr.Strange books. Just a quick doodle, although the line quality is fun.
Gift with Purchase
I had the worst connection on Saturday so even my blogspot app could publish yesterday when I tried. So this is late.

Flashback Femme
This is an older drawing that I did really spontaneously but today I thought of posting it on Instagram. But after I retooled what I thought needed work, I still didn't feel it was up to snuff. I'm not happy with the arms but haven't the time to check it against a proper reference…

Fashion Illustration Boot Camp 2
My friend, the very talented Lamont O'Neal, invited me to this class he was instructing at Parsons today, for instructors and a few friends. Any chance I can get to draw live with people as talented as Lamont I will jump to. I found myself rusty in the first few sketches but by the time I got to the last I had a bit more confidence. Too bad it was the last pose!

Big Red
I got stuck in a mini Pinterest wormhole and got inspired by a few posters. This is me putting ideas down.

Layered
Had a vision of a menswear sketch when I spied a guy on the street and imagined something more than what I was seeing in front of me.

Another Brush Test
I pulled a back muscle at the gym today and so I am not in the mood to be in front of the Mac, especially since the angle of viewing the screen is what seems to be hurting my neck the most. So this is as much as I will do tonight...

Try And Find It
I'm trying to see if a favorite brush of mine was backed up. Ive gone through as many as I could find, but no dice. This si the guy who gets brushstrokes applied as I test each brush...

Sketchy Dude
I'm wondering if I lost the brush I developed that I've used for my hair series. If so, I'll have to try and recreate it, or if I can't make a match, I may have to end the series drawn with it. I'm hoping I can recover that preset file in Photoshop. If not, well... I've started tinkering with other pencil brushes. This is one such trial and I'm not loving how it renders too much. Back to the drawing board.

And then there's Zenaida
I'm in the thick of design work so have her for a night. I'm still not used to my new iMac and the default settings for brushes in Photoshop are really grating on me, I can barely draw! Ugh, so out of my confort zone...

Very Mike Grell
This swimsuit from an independent designer out in the Czech Republic looks very much like a 70s/early 80s super heroine outfit, possibly by Mike Grell. All it needed was a pair of boots and gloves. But y'know, as a costume in comics, it's not actually that creative looking.

Bewitched Zone
While I still don't have my replacements can, watching a lot of TV. There's a Twilight Zone marathon on (they're calling it a binge now - which is s more au courant way to call it) and there was a episode starring Elizabeth Montgomery who looked amazingly modern as a futuristic soldier trapped in a ruin with an in recognizable young Charles Bronson.
Edit: 06.11.15
I just realized that now as I'm rebuilding my old desktop, I never got to put sketches on these entries. I can't recall if I drew them on paper quickly and never got around to realizing them fully, but here's a from-memory drawing of Elizabeth Montgomery's character, later helped out by a screen cap from the show. I realize she looks very much like a Phil Noto drawing. I wonder if hedraws upon that look more directly than I think...?

Restraining
I always loved the forms made by bondage imagery. I'm not into bondage myself, but for some reason I love devising the outfits in drawings. I'm not quite sure why.

Bits and Bobs
I went into a few different drawings today, fixing things that I didn't like from the first iteration, possibly to post on Instagram...

Yogaboys
Drawing some croquis for some friends' startup clothing line but still waiting for the actual ideas and clothing I have to draw, so he's generic for now.

Hard Gestures
I dunno, I don't have any drawing energy lately. I just did some hard gesture drawings with a rather chunky brush, but I can't find any inspiration in anything right now, maybe because I recently finished the 'Instanudity' drawing, and I'm possibly having a creative letdown.

The Duck Doesn't Know...
... what it's doing here. But I do: I had one frozen margarita and I am such a lightweight lately that I hadn't the wherewithal to actually draw something more considered. So, quack.
Walkie Croquis
I was doing laundry last night and forgot to post a sketch, so this is a makeup sketch. I thought that having more time this morning I would do something more detailed, but I was inspired by a random croquis on Instagram, and they did a pose that I thought could be improved on...and so I did it here, and kinda stopped at the actual quick croquis. I don't think I necessarily improved on the original, but I did manage to put her in a hideous 'casual mom' get up. Oh, Happy Mother's day, haha...

Woon
This is a sketch from a short session I had with my hairstylist Kevin Woon, whom I'm drawing for what I hope to be a small show come September.

Coy 3
Can't believe it's been over a year since I touched this, but after all the work I've been doing recently, I feel better equipped to deal with this piece for some reason.

Instanudity 17
Well I'm finally happy with the face but after I adjusted the arm I think that it needs to be completely redone now (the arm, I mean).

Instanudity 16
I had to completely redo his nose. I redid his eyes, and brow, and something was still off. Well no wonder, the nose was off, and nothing could work together until I fixed it. So hopefully I fixed it. Hopefully tomorrow I don't look at it and go, ugh, something is off.
