 Kyle Webster released some brushes to help India's Covid cituation and I bought the set. It's worth it all for this Mongoose brush he designed, because I'm really loving how it handles—super smooth!

Poet-ic 3

 I kinda love this very 80s English coif (I'm inspired by Alan Davis' rendering of Captain Britain's Brian Braddock's hair) right now and am trying to get it right. That profile needs tending. It's good, yet it's not perfect. Yet.

Ernesto Profile 2021, Done

I finished it, adjusting his jawline as well as doing all his tattoos, and carving out his abs more. I think is my most accurate drawing of his likeness thus far.

2 Minute Bear with Etruscan Vase

The title is better than the actual 2 minute sketch, but it took exactly that and no more.

2 Minute Duck in Boots

I did a 2 minute timed drawing just to get something done. I ended up being inspired to draw him with boots on, and stopped exactly at the 2 minute mark. I think he's cute, albeit glassy-eyed lol

For me, designing, as I've said often before, is the same muscle as illustrating. So I've been hard pressed to draw while working intensive hours on my design gig with Amazon. I'm just stealing a few minutes here and there to get some sketches in... like this guy with the romantic hair.

Peekaboob-y Costume

I've been spending so much energy designing for my gig with Amazon that I barely have the time to draw, so doodles drawn while waiting for the spinning beach ball to resolve the computer hang? Valid.

Jawless

 I was drawing another variation on my jawless fashion illustration faces in my paper doodles, so I wanted to do one digitally as well. I think there's something more to the doodles, but this isn't too bad. I also like the two tone whites.

 I completely decided to redo his extremitites. I had a hard time getting the feeling and positioning I wanted for his hands, and it ended up translating into me rotating his form and then redoing a lot of his stance. uugh, perfectionism...

Hang Time Doodles

 When my computer is hanging because it;s taking a long time for a file to save or an action to resolve, I doodle now on the sheets of paper next to my computer. It's funny how different the feel of natural media feels and looks to me now. I kinda love this composition and maybe will redo it digitally at some point.

My friend Ernesto has a very particular body type with sloping clavicles and shoulders, which I recalled in a doodle as I waited for file activities to resolve on my computer.

3 Minute Duck with a Bra

Lacking for time lately, I decided to do something (to post) that I haven't done in a while: do a timed illustration. This one for 3 minutes. To be honest, I did so much so soon I added the bra and details because I had the time.
