Fashion Sketch

As much as I love the possibilities of digital illustration, there are some things that just don't turn out the way they used to. Okay, so I'm rusty as well, but doing a fashion croquis just isn't the same with digital media: the quick, fluid strokes just aren't so quick nor fluid. Heck, my fashion instincts aren't so fluid either - I couldn't dream up a dress off the bat, so I used one of my friend Peter's as a sample to sketch

  4. Yeah, but it's a shadow of its former self. Liz is still doing it, but with other people now. Some pinoy socialite helped her raid the vintage stuff and made them into updated things under the label Miss New Yorker (remember that?). I got wind of it last year when I was still at Rafe, and the fact that it had nothing to do with me made me feel a twinge of regret, but it was a choice I made. I certainly don't think I would be happy in Manila doing it, although I would be happy to continue my mom's legacy somehow. It's weird.
