Beards have gone from ironic to fairly mainstream in fashion. Now they're just as normal as tattoos: considered edgy, but not unusual. I do like it when the man wearing the beard isn't so much a bear as a normal weight or even skinny guy wearing it as a style element. I like the fashion edge more than the fetish aspect of a beard.
