Reclining Nude On His Phone, Also 2
Whenever I sketch a new pose—whether with or without a reference—I always do the quick rudimentary marks just to put things down. I find my process (and I think it might be more common than just me) involves wantiing to edit something that's incorrect. So putting down anything breaks the ice, so to speak. It basically allows one to get started. Too often we artists are daunted by putting down something that's wrong. But often, that results in not starting at all, and being paralyzed by it. For me, starting wrong is a road to correcting the piece. This is a piece I've been correcting (and will still continue to do so, as it;s not great yet). Also ysing the new Tracker brush I discovered, to see if it gets the inky line I'm imagining I need to work with.
