I did something unthinkable: I actually picked up a sheet of paper at home, and started a new piece in actual charcoal. And not a demo or something for school, but an idea I came up with that I wanted to explore, which a new technique I've never done before, which is using charcoal with a brush.
Ever since I started exploring more kink ideas again through my model and friend Nicholas, I feel like having him as a focus has made me revisit these themes that were always so strong in my drawings, but I could never pinpoint where they came from or why.
Anyhow, I started it a few weeks ago but never bothered to publish it at that beginning stage, but here's a current status. It's such a rarity for me to create original new work on paper lately, when it's not a life drawing session. I hope I can make it happen, versus all the old pieces that never made it past the sketch stage.
