Kraft Paper Lesson
Today I taught my kids how to use toned paper—in this case, Kraft pads—to create compelling sketches from the model. I always find it fun to sketch in toned paper, and it's a staple even in my digital work. These are of model Sophie, who always brings it.
These were also for a demo in class while I was being observed by a peer for evaluation. I don't know how I did but the professor seemed very positive. But I always look at my work after and think, this isn't up to my standards. Well, the first one, which is the demo, but I also don't sketch too well because I want it to be something the kids can emulated, and I often wonder if its too accomplished if they will feel like, what's the point? The pants sketch was me joining as they sketched the final pose, which I loved because those pants and that pose were so fluid!
