I'm really obsessed with patent leather thongs now, aren't I? This one a view from behind, just a quick sketch as I think that jacket needs work.

I love a supposedly unintended view. It makes it feel like a subversive act...although how subversive it can be when the man is wearing black leather fetish gear is debatable.

I rather like this level of finish. I was drawing this as a possible addition to my fetish series based on my model Nicholas, but now I think it might be best left in this form.

Ray in Repose 9

I'm trying to finish this up and give it to Ray already! I think it might be too long in development for me to look at it objectively. But I'll hope to say, it's Done, versus, it's Perfect.

I finally got the sketch AND the video demo done! Hopefully it all turns out okay when I film the final in-person demo for the college.

Anniversary Sketch Session

Last year when I introduced my friend Erwin to my new friend Francisco, they got along so well that Francisco invited him to draw with us at his place, and hire Nicholas again to pose. I'm always happy to draw him but my IG followers might be getting Nick fatigue. Regardless, I think I got some good sketches in, plus I went back to a larger format since I had drawn him just earlier in the week and it felt like I could try something different. The blue sketch in particular I'm happy with, as it almost looks like it could be a rather risque scene from a movie like, I dunno, Metropolis!

I've been putting off this damn sketch for a while, haha. Now I've gotten a little bit more of an internal direction, I just need to record the demo.

I'm still dreaming up ways to complete this leather/fetish series I started with my model Nicholas, and now it's turned into something that keeps expanding! I'm trying to fill in the spaces between pieces though, and coming up with my own poses. It's funny how I can already channel Nicholas without actually needing him to model. He's a character in my head already.

I thought about demonstrating so many different things, but in the end I narrowed it down to using two specific brushes to get a lined effect. These were my trials about what brushes to demonstrate. I went with vine Charcoal and its variations.

I've been asked by my school to do a demo video fora grant, and I've been putting it off as I plan the best way to approach it. In the end I thought about using an old demo sketch and just repurposing it as a basis for rendering holding lines. I do like the facial correction I've done here.

New Year, New Nick

My regular model Nicholas stopped by to pick up his Christmas present from me this evening (a print of one of our piece that we collaborated on), and he posed for a few drawings (the first live sketch session for the year for both of us) while we had Whiskey Amarettos. I really shouldn't drink and draw because it affects my concentration, but it was a fun evening just to just hang and catch up. I didn't get much of a likeness but I kinda liked the looseness of my second sketch. Nicholas really liked it so maybe we'll try more lifestyle-esque sketches like this in the future...

Naif Menswear Drawing

I've always liked a loose, more naive illustration style, even if it's not really me. But I can do it (or so I imagine) and so I thought I'd toy with some lines and see what came up.

I'm doing a logo for a client, based on a carabao, a Filipino water buffalo. I tried incorporating a naive, silhouette style drawing of a carabao, but I think they're too open to misinterpretation to go forward with,

I did that from below and behind pose again, but in a more realistic style it has more sway with me. Wonder if I even need Nicholas to pose for this? Well, he does have a nice butt, it would work for him.

Potential Poses 2026

My model Nicholas is very enthusiastically asking when I would draw him next. I haven't even finished my previous drawings with him and he wants to do more—plus I have another model who posed for me whom I haven't even started! Anyhow, I thought I'd conceptualize some poses anyhow. I sleeping yet spread-eagled reclining pose seems appropriately provocative.

House of Thunder & Generosity

My German friend said his new Chinese name (he lives in Taiwan half the year) translated to House of Thunder & Generosity. So I drewthis as a proposal for his new name stamp icon.

New Year Starts: Young Woman 2026, Done

I like her but I had a hard time with the proportions. I think I was trying to draw my old comic book proportions, but theh fashion proportions are definitely getting in the way. I couldn't decide!

I had originally planned on doing a hot young man, and then I thought, he should be a hot black man. And then I thought, why should he be a man at all? So I started playing with two figures, but I think the woman is gonna be winning out.
