Are you sick of Marvel Girl yet?

Seems like all I'm drawing lately are bits and pieces of this Marvel Girl drawing. I actually drew several variations on the costume, and the shag drawing I did yesterday was actually sketched the day before but colored in a bit today. Anyhow, here's a pencil sketch I did while waiting for my computer programs to boot up...

I totally know what you mean. For the past week all I've been drawing is Venus Dee Milo and it's annoying, lol. I'm trying to get the perfect pose, and the only one I do like isn't even in the right costume (it's more of a weird runway fashion outfit than anything).

I was wondering about your tools? More specifically, in terms of a tablet (if you use one at all). Thanks, and I totally love the progress I'm seeing.

I actually use an old (as in 7 years old) Wacom tablet and that's it. I think the Intuous range is pretty good since that's what I use at my old job (every job I work for I demand a tablet, as I will not work any other way now). I wouldn't bother with the Cintiq screen they're hawking because that just might lead to a dirty monitor once you draw on it directly and let your body parts rest on it, leaving unintentional but inevitable oil stains... although not having tried one, I don't know for sure.

I find it's best to start off with Corel Painter (usually bundled with the tablet) to get the proper strokes, then clean it up in Photoshop, but it depends on your comfort levels with those programs.
