Spring Lilac, Done

With today the first day I didn't have to work on my commission while I await any revisions, I'm happily finalizing my own work. He's a bit gender flow-y, but that's not a bad thing.

So far this guy has turned out to be my favorite face of my commissions, even if there's aspects of it I still want to change. I didn't want to draw him and left him for last, but it all worked out in the end.

I'm finding I really like how my blonds turn out, even without referring to any photos. I'm trying for imperfect guys, like the typical male models that populate my magazines and websites... I think it's the slightly wider noses that make them feel fresher to me...

My client from the past year asked me to retool and old fashion illustration, which I'm only too happy to do. This job that I was afraid would be a one-off has been returning for more, so it's definitely got legs, and then some.

This was inspired by the sexy Ben Daniels, who shows it all in this exact pose in a movie I just discovered (but can't recall the title of) after watching him on Netflix's Jupiter's Legacy.

Slump

 I'm obsessed with how a man's naked pelvis looks when seated, particularly with ab definition but with just enough fat to vary how the skin folds are determined. I'm trying to do it from imagination. This was an initial sketch that I think should just remain this way, and my Instagram followers seem to think so.
