Peen On My Mind

After I posted yesterday's IG post, I got a couple of requests to model for me, as per usual, but one guy turned out to be HOT! He immediately sent me some dick pics (because exhibitionist, I'm sure) and started talking about his insecurities that he was too small. I think he was fishing for compliments, because he then sent me 6 more dick pics, and one spectacular erection shot. This isn't from those, but just a drawing from memory of a nice cut dick.

Francesco Redux, Done

I prepped everything for Instagram posting, and as is usually the case with me, I realize some things need adjusting when I see the phone-sized preview. In this case, it was the highlighting on the left leg, which needed softening and extending. And he's done! And so far a lot of likes on IG, so well done!

Okay then!  I found more than a few errors my perfectionist personality can't deal with, but I'm gonna submit anyhow. Besides, Done is better than Perfect!

I pulled out this guy fro October 202 because what I thought was unfinished looks pretty done to me almost a year later. I did some tweaks though, with some of the mark placement and some details around the eyes.

Cosmic Comic

The title has nothing to do with this drawing, but everything to do with its origins. I wanted to do a female version of the character Cosmic Boy from the Legion of Super Heroes, but as I drew the face, she started to evolve into something more akin to a moody character than a super heroine. So she's still named Cosmic, but I like her now just as a portrait. More of a handsome woman, in the vein of Charlotte Rampling...

NOPE! Too much peen showing still on the last version! So, here we go the full drapey-drapey, the kind of draping that would get me frustrated if I saw it on a male model. I do have to admit all the whiteness of the towel is adding nicely to the weight of the composition. Now to finalize the background a bu=it and I should be donezo!

 So now it's the saga of the chastity towel! I'm such a perfectionist, even if this version is only for my model to be able to post on his page, I have to make it worthy of being a sketch on its own!

Retooling

My menswear illustration client came back to me to retool some of the looks and add new ones to the project I just finished last month, so you're gonna get a lot of half assed sketches since I can't show anything recognisable!

Side Peen (No More) 6

I finally got it right by reducing the length of his torso, giving him a chest lift, removing some of the line work on his arm and oh, removing the side peen altogether. It feels much better now.

I have kept reducing that side view of his penis to make it seem more plausible but the fact of the matter is, I don't know if you would be able to see any part of his groin from that view. It's almost like those anatomically awkward positions of women in comics where they twist them so you can see botht ehir boobs and their asses? Like that.

 I wasn't keen on the arm position, but I suspect the whole body proportion is off so it's not going to be a quick fix after all!

My model asked me if I could make a safer version for his feed, with his crotch covered. So I'm doing a towel, which is ironically how I photographed him but never drew him 15 years ago in my first shoot. I might have to fix the draping though—it makes it look like he's enormous AND erect! And while he's big, that highlight on the fabric looks like he extends all the way to his thumb, hehe

 I'm well overdue for another post on IG and I was hoping this old sketch would work as a quick retool. But I'm too much of a perfectionist to let it go out as is, so I'm retooling a bit. Or a lot.

 I wanted to do a variation of the Asian model with the Schiele proportions, but with a Caucasian man, specifically not to draw a huge crotch on him so that the Asian one doesn't look intentionally tiny by comparison. Not everyone is a show-er, so I needed to visually establish the variations.

He kinda reminds me of my old fave model, Will Chalker.

Styl-ish

 I was watching the finale of the HBO reality show Stylish with Jenna Lyons and for some reason I wanted to draw the hairstyle of the stylist who is part of her team. It doesn't look like her but I suppose it's an impression

I did a lot of painting and adjusting, but I think I just want to show (by way of solid colors) the adjustments made to the pose.

Man, I haven't touched this drawing since October 2019, but I think I'm gonna finish it up this year (it's been going on since 2015!!) for my model's milestone birthday. Adjusted his face, it's funny how much I was able to see clearly now, which I apparently didn't before.

Also known as, Hello Shlong! He's totally presenting in this pose, which is the whole point. It's both a dare and an invitation. This is pretty much done, and Francesco himself gave it his blessing but I have to finish it up with background lines,  and shading, as well as do a version with a towel draped over his crotch for Francesco's IG feed.

Maybe that should be, Be Feeted. I just adjusted the feet and the legs a bit again as it was looking wrong. This is the flipside to being able to correct a drawing after leaving it alone: being UNABLE to correct it to satisfaction. Too many things start looking all wrong. Ugh.

Paring Down The Form 2

I pulled out this old sketch from June 2011 to retool a bit and post on IG. Guess you just never know what piece will find finishing among the thousands in this blog. I adjusted the anatomy as best I know how now (it's amazing how much I know better now, but I'm sure a few years from now I will look at parts and go, ew, why did I draw that that way?!) and did it in a graphic layout.

A Face

 While I'm busy working on my longer-term illo projects like my nude portrait of Francesco, I needed something else to be a sorbet between drawing jages. So, just A Face here. Don't even know if I'll develop this further (it needs fixing) or leave it be forever... you never know.

Half Nekkid Leap 2

So my pantless draped shirt sketch from the other day becase my biggest Instagram post ever, going from my personal high of about 800 and change likes to over 1100! I'm  not sure why, either, as I wasn't too keen on the drawing myself. But who knows the whims of IG users? Anyhow, I went looking in my archives for something I might post while I still work on Francesco's piece, but I wonder if this is too similar in theme to the butt-focused drawing earlier?

There's ALWAYS some fiddling to do with a portrait. So even if my client said it really looked like him, I keep thinking I'm refining the sketch further by tinkering. Hopefully I don't tinker it into a better render but a worse likeness.
